Highland Park Reservoir

The Highland Park Reservoir Project in Pittsburgh involved a $24 million investment to repair and update the 125-million-gallon drinking water facility. Rite Geosystems provided advanced monitoring solutions, including EPP-40V piezometers and EAN-52M inclinometers, for real-time data on embankment stability and water levels. With automated data loggers and a web-based data management system, the near real-time monitoring ensured safe reservoir refilling and long-term stability. The project highlights cutting-edge geotechnical instrumentation for vital water storage infrastructure.

Highland Park Reservoir

The Highland Park Reservoir Project is one of the main drinking water storage facilities in the city and is situated in the Highland Park neighbourhood of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
The Highland Park Reservoir No. 2 and Pump Stations have undergone extensive repairs. A two-year long-term monitoring program has been implemented during the construction phases, particularly during reservoir refilling.

Encardio Rite., USA was entrusted to provide the instrumentation along with real-time monitoring results for the project. Instrumentation basically included piezometers and automated vertical in-place inclinometers with automatic data collection and web-based online data presentation.
