Market Street Office Tower Project

The Market Street Office Tower, also known as CapitaGreen, is a 40-story architectural marvel with greenery on every floor, a Sky Forest, and innovative cooling systems. During its construction, Encardio-rite’s geotechnical monitoring solutions ensured the safety of adjacent structures and ground stability. Over 100 tilt beam sensors, 11 piezometers, and 116 arc weldable strain gauges were installed, providing real-time data and operating with 100% efficiency. Explore how advanced monitoring safeguarded this iconic sustainable design.

Market Street Office Tower Project

Market Street Office Tower is a design marvel, also known as CapitaGreen. It is a 40-storey tall tower that features greenery on every floor, extensive sky gardens on 3 levels, a Sky Forest on the roof as well as considerable vertical greenery. The rooftop garden or "Sky Forest" has 40 different kinds of trees and shrubs and features a 45 m high windcatcher structure, designed to look like flower petals, that captures cool fresh air and channels it into the office floors. An empty core runs down the center of the tower to send the captured cool air to each floor. The building has 5 basement carparks.

The project required ground monitoring as well as risk assessment of adjacent structures during the construction works. The monitoring works were provided by our Marketing Associate in the region. A number of our sensors were used including 100 numbers of tilt beam sensors (at EWL and CCL MRT Tunnels), 11 numbers of piezometers, and 116 numbers of arc weldable strain gages. All sensors (100%) have operated satisfactorily.
