New Cuzco – Chinchero International Airport

Chinchero International Airport is an under-construction international airport in Chinchero District, Cusco Region, Perú. The capacity of the new airport is expected to reach 5.5 million passengers per year. It aims to become the main gateway to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Encardio Rite, with an expertise of 56 years, was responsible for the monitoring works for the project. Instruments were mainly required to control the ground deformations and groundwater variations in the area during the early stages of ground fill-up and soft soil improvement works. Solution offered included sub-surface monitoring instruments like Inclinometers for lateral movement, Piezometers for ground water level and water pressures, and Magnetic Extensometer for ground settlement. We also provided technical support during the installation works, leaving no stone unturned in making this project a success.
