Sri Komaram Bheem Project
Sri Komaram Bheem Project is located across the Peddawagu River, proposed in the Peddawagu stream near Ada (V), Asifabad (M), Asifabad (Dist.). It is a medium irrigation project which irrigates an ayacut of 45,500 acres (18421 ha) in 69 villages of 4 mandals i.e. Asifabad, Wankidi, Kagaznagar and Sirpur(T) of Asifabad district.
The project consists of an earthen dam 1012 m long with a maximum height of 18 m and a total reservoir capacity of 10.393 tmcft.
Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the project. The instrumentation included:
- Piezometer- foundation and embankment
- In-place inclinometers
- Earth pressure cells
