Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel

The Pir Panjal Railway Tunnel, part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link, is one of India's longest railway tunnels, spanning 11 km through the rugged Himalayan terrain in Jammu & Kashmir. Located 440 m below the Jawahar Tunnel, it plays a critical role in connecting the region with the rest of India. Encardio-Rite was responsible for the complete safety monitoring of Packages T-69, T-73, and T-80, ensuring real-time geotechnical stability. With advanced instrumentation, this tunnel became operational in October 2009, marking a milestone in India's railway infrastructure.
