Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project

Punatsangchhu II Hydroelectric Project, located in Bhutan, is monitored by Encardio Rite with advanced geotechnical instruments. These include multi-point borehole extensometers, piezometers, and anchor bolt load cells to ensure the safety and stability of the powerhouse complex. Encardio Rite handled the complete instrumentation and monitoring for subsurface deformation, pore pressure, and load measurements, ensuring efficient power generation and structural integrity throughout the project’s duration.

Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project

Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project is a part of the Punatsangchhu-I Hydroelectric Project being developed by the Punatsangchhu Hydroelectric Project Authority which is a joint venture of the Governments of India and Bhutan. India’s Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS) is the engineering and design consultant for this project. The project consists of a concrete dam, 86 m high x 213.5 m wide at the top.
