Salma Dam

The Salma Dam is a hydroelectric and irrigation dam project located on the Hari River in the Chishti Sharif District of Herat Province in western Afghanistan. It is a 107.5 m high embankment earth and rock-fill dam with a length of 551 m.

Encardio-rite executed the monitoring work of the project by supplying, installing, and data monitoring of geotechnical instruments that included piezometers, pressure cells, seepage measurement devices, magnetic extensometers, borehole extensometers, strain gages, portable readout units, seismographs, and rain gauge.
